St Mary's, Grendon
St Mary’s Church dates back in part to Norman times. It is a beautiful building, built from limestone rubble with ironstone dressings. The tower contains a ring of six bells, dating from 1618. Our Church community is made up of a mixture of ages with many families. St Mary’s has a strong team of volunteers who clean, flower arranging, provide refreshments and carry out numerous caretaking duties. We also have a talented team of mixed-aged bell ringers. Our PCC is committed to the growth of our Church and reaching out to the wider community.
Services at St Mary's take place as follows Wednesday morning 9.30am Holy Communion, in Church during the warmer months and in the home of a parishioner during the winter followed by coffee & biscuits. 1st Sunday 11am All Age Holy Communion, with children's activity, followed by coffee & biscuits. 2nd Sunday No service at St Mary’s (see calendar for details of other services in the Benefice) 3rd Sunday 9am Holy Communion followed by coffee and biscuits 4th Sunday 4pm Worship for All, followed by tea and cake 5th Sunday Benefice Service (calendar for details).
